Diamonds are the birthstone for April. Diamond comes from the Greek words "adamas" and "diaphanous" which mean unbreakable and transparent.

They also come in other colors such as black, shades of brown, blue, green and pink.

I bought my black diamond ring after my divorce several years ago. It was a symbol of my strength and resilience... being unbreakable.

I wear it to remind myself that I am strong and can handle tough situations.
